A Poem: True Romance

True Romance – 11/20

Since this is a female-oriented poem, here's something for the guys:
You can't think with your head,
Because there's more blood in your Head than your head,
It's like you're walking up to her braindead instead of brain-led.
*think about that one guys!*

True romance...
Every guy talks it, but few walk it
True romance,
Is not just a slow dance,
A slow dance of the minds,
Presenting her with flowers of all kinds,
Not just roses, nor just strking poses,
That's true romance, and no man's
Ever going to rapidly become a romantic,
Nor instantly become sycophantic,
You see true romance isn't frantic,
It's not "oh, maybe I should send some chocolate"
It's knowing in your heart her favorite box set
If you're not thinking out the box yet,
Then it isn't true, when it's true
You feel it all the way through
The bounce in your toes when you walk,
The sensitivity in your voice when you talk,
Her essence permeating every thought,
Until everything you know leads back,
Back to her, she is your sunrise and moonlight
Thoughts of her wake you up,
And soothe nights, smooth nights,
Are reserved for pimps,
For every girl you take to bed,
You whore out a piece of your heart,
That eventually becomes dead,
Such irony is one reason why,
True romance can never lie,
It's a bond like no other,
No other can tie you to another,
But it connects even deeper,
Not just brain to brain,
But heart to heart,
Heart to heart talks happen whenever you speak,
Your bodies don't have to be together every week,
No sight is required, as long as your minds speak,
He fell in love with who you are,
Not how you look, your mind had him shook,
And your body was just a benefit,
It's been a fit since the beginning,
And since the beginning, you've been amazed by it all,
Like when just thinking of that someone puts you at peace,
Piece by piece, you piece together
A togetherness, we all know no relationship is weather-less
But when it rains, there is a subsequent rainbow
Emerging through the clouds, declaring out loud,
That there is insurmountable love, that not even death is above,
For when one of you dies, the tears from the other's eyes,
Are a release of good-byes, as you await to join your lover in the skies,
In disguise, are a lot of these guys,
Guided by what's between the thighs rather than what's behind the eyes,
But when they realize,
That like sunrise, breaking through darkness with light
Your eyes, will see with love, through their plight,
You will become their F.L.I.G.H.T.,
And soon you will be subject to their hearts' might
For true romance is whole-hearted,
And they may call you cold-hearted,
But you're waiting for true romance,
Although you're offered hearts, you take no man's,
That's a very good way to live,
You save all you have to give,
For someone who would give his all to have, you.
