A Freestyle Piece: Beauty, the Nightly Duty - 5/19/10

"She couldn't shed fears, so she shed tears...crystal missiles falling from between the ears...so afraid of being hurt, she allowed men to treat her like dirt...open legs and a closed heart make for an empty soul...her self-esteem was replaced by an empty hole...the makeup ran like she did from her feelings...the sobs cut her deeply, but she picked up the peelings...piecing together 'beauty' was a nightly duty..."
