A Message to Brothers About Lying - 6/15/11

"Lying (which includes making promises you don't intend to keep) to a young lady is like dropping an atomic bomb. The initial damage is great, naturally. But, it's the aftereffects, the fallout, that do the most damage: they radiate long-lasting pain and trepidation, create an area of callous sensitivity, and make it unfair for anyone who ventures there, as they may be blamed for it or asked to clean it up."
