"Gifted people disappear; talented people fade; skilled people remain. Why is this? A gift can only surprise or please for so long. It becomes trite. A talent has the 'wow' factor, but it is simple and only gains attention. Attention fades. However, if a gift is cultivated into a talent, the talent can then be honed. The result is a skill. Skill is versatile. There's adaptability and growth and being skilled."
