A Freestyle Piece: Moment of Clarity - 11/16/10

"Moment of clarity: why must there be a difference between equality and parity? Distinguishing between the two creates such a disparity that bringing someone up to par is considered charity, yet the necessity to do so is encumbered with verity. Verily, we are all one race, one people. But scarily, we continue to focus on our idiosyncrasies, and it makes us a divided sheeple."

A Freestyle Piece: My Quarters Will Be All Gone - 11/16/10

"I live with heartache on the day-to-day; love's a game, seems like it's pay-to-play. Spending quarters of my time on games that I'm losing at; I feel like I'm going for broke, I keep losing track. It's not the difficulty, it's the game itself; if you don't do everything just right, you get left. As it stands, I get it all wrong; sooner or later though, my quarters will be all gone."

A Brief Philosophy: To Be in Love Is to Keep - 11/16/10

"To appreciate is to grasp, to cherish is to hold, to love is to have, to be in love is to keep. The hands of time can wrest anything from anyone; anything had can be lost without the proper grip. However, anything kept is permanent, etched in the minds, hearts, and souls of those involved."

A Freestyle Piece: Young Violence - 11/16/10

"Not much speaks louder than violence...young souls attempting to break their silence...they're knocking at the devil's door, continuing to greet these sins; they stopped asking for the Lord while trying to meet these ends. His way wasn't fast enough, they needed haste; they heard about sin and needed a taste. Sin is much too sweet though, and now they have cavities; young souls afflicted with voluntary depravity."

Just Some Thoughts: The Art of Conversation - 11/16/10

"The art of conversation is critical. You can find out all you need to know through asking the right questions. You don't have to interrogate someone, but you should ask them about the things that matter, like what they want to be in life and what they consider success to be. You can gauge a personality on the answers to those types of questions. Also, pay close attention to what someone wants to know about you."

A Freestyle Piece: The Bud I Can't Nip - 11/16/10

‎"If I see you again, everything's going to change. Tried to let you go, but I still linger on your name. Your eyes, your smile, your size, your style; they strike me every time like the first. I'd put the future on hold to revisit your part of my past, though I vowed not to repeat mistakes and you're part of my last. I'm clumsy, you're a trip; I don't want to fall but you're a slip...you're the bud I just can't nip."

A Freestyle Piece: Since When Is Love Available for Purchase? - 11/16/10

"Since when is love available for purchase? I guess it went on sale when you forgot what your worth is. He buys you gifts and takes you out for dinner. You swear that he's a winner; remember: buying patronages made 'saints' out of sinners. Your inner peace is fading with every penetration; you're holding out for his heart, you'll never finish waiting. You sold your heart without him ever truly paying."
